Letter From the Editor:
What If We Could Be 1% Better?
It’s also become a life and business mantra since the publication of James Clear’s book, Atomic Habits. The belief is, if you can improve the minutia of a process, task, tool — anything — by just 1%, incrementally, each day or week, you experience compounded results.
What, you wonder, does this have to do with business and technology?
Competing in today’s business landscape can feel like its own version of an Olympics final. It’s a race to beat the competition. The climate and terrain are always changing. And the strength of the team is what determines the win.
But what if we take this advice and focus on the impact of marginal gains? What would happen if you made interactions just 1% better? What if you serviced customers 1% faster? What if you made your cybersecurity 1% stronger? What if you made your employee onboarding experience 1% smoother?
We believe you can — and should. In this issue of Tech Journal, we’ll show you how — and the kinds of results you might achieve.
Another great step is to explore our four-part webinar series, Your Journey Into the Era of AI, covering:
legal, ethical and organisational considerations
data protection
preparing for the Microsoft suite of Copilot products
the art of the possible with Azure AI services.
We think the analysts are right when they predict that generative AI — both everyday and game-changing AI — will drive substantial savings in time, productivity and cost.
We’re here to help you navigate the path to AI readiness across your teams and your business. You might be amazed by how much progress you can make.
When you harness the power of technology, micro-improvements add up to big gains over time. As James Clear says: “With the same habits, you’ll end up with the same results. But with better habits, anything is possible.”
Sincerely,
